OSU-Oklahoma City offers 1 construction management pathway:
- Construction Management Technology A.A.S.
Program Pathways Overview
| Program | Est. Tuition | Est. Duration | Credit Hours |
|---|---|---|---|
| A.A.S. | $10.4K in-state / $25.4K out-of-state | 2 years (4 semesters + 1 summer) | 62 |
Tuition estimates use OSU-Oklahoma City’s current per-credit tuition plus mandatory per-credit and per-term fees.
OSU-Oklahoma City runs almost every construction course in an 8-week half of the semester, so students take two CONS courses back to back instead of side by side. Sections run day, night, or online. The construction core sits next to accounting, business communications, and small business management, plus an optional Construction Spanish course. That mix fits working adults and people headed for subcontractor offices.
The biggest trade-off is transfer. The program page says the associate degree transfers into Oklahoma State’s B.S. in Construction Engineering Technology. The only CET transfer map OSU has published for OSU-OKC (2023-24) starts from a different degree, the A.S. in Pre-Professional Studies, and requires Calculus I, two physics courses, and statics. The A.A.S. math ends at Applied Geometry and Trigonometry.

Construction Management Technology A.A.S.
The estimated tuition for the Construction Management Technology A.A.S. at OSU-Oklahoma City is approximately $10,418 (62 credits at $165.05/credit plus per-term fees).
The program can generally be completed in about 2 years, per OSU-OKC’s plan of study (four semesters plus one summer).
A.A.S. Curriculum
The 2026-27 degree sheet splits the degree into 18 general education credits, a support block, and 29 technical credits. Eight of the 14 required construction and business courses are management or business: estimating, scheduling, law and contracts, safety, accounting, business communications, small business management, and introduction to construction management. Five are technical: blueprint reading, construction fundamentals, construction technology, materials and methods, and MEP systems.
- Math: MATH 1483 Mathematical Functions and Their Uses, then MATH 1583 Applied Geometry and Trigonometry
- CM core: CONS 2103 Introduction to Construction Management, CONS 2423 Construction Estimating, CONS 2203 Project Scheduling
- Contracts and safety: CONS 2123 Construction Law and Contract, CONS 2003 OSHA for Commercial and Residential Construction
- Technical: CONS 1103 Blue Print Reading for Construction, CONS 1213 Construction Fundamentals, CONS 2253 Materials and Methods
- Building systems: CONS 2263 Introduction to MEP Systems, CONS 1251 Construction Technology (1 credit)
- Business support: ACCT 1003 Basic Accounting Procedures, BUS 2113 Business Communications, MGMT 2003 Small Business Management
- Electives (6 credits): CONS 1113 Construction Spanish, CONS 1330 Internship (1 to 6 credits), or department-approved courses
- Orientation: CONS 1001 Introduction to Industry (1 credit)
The curriculum leans toward the office side of a project. Small business management and Construction Spanish point at subcontractor owners and field supervisors who run Spanish-speaking crews. Students who want drawing or modeling skills should note that the 2026-27 sheet has no CAD, Revit, or BIM course. The 2023-24 version offered a Revit option and a green building course; both are gone from the current sheet.

You Should Know
- ⚠️ The degree sheet states 60 credits and a 13-credit support block, but its listed courses add to 62 (support block = 15). OSU-OKC’s 2025-26 plan of study also totals 62. This page uses 62.
- Most CONS courses run in the first or second 8-week half of a term. Missing one can push a sequenced course back a full term.
- Project Scheduling is fall only; OSHA and Construction Law and Contract are spring only.
- Each prerequisite needs a C or better before the next course in the sequence.
A.A.S. Internship and Field Experience
- Required: No. CONS 1330 Internship is one option in the 6-credit elective block.
- Credits: 1 to 6. The plan of study places it in the first summer.
- Prerequisites: CONS 2103 and CONS 2423, per the plan of study
- Hours, paid status, named employers: Not clearly stated
- Placement support: OSU’s 2025 State magazine reports that OSU-OKC contacts local construction companies to match students with employers.
Because the internship is optional, a student can finish with no supervised field hours. Career changers without construction experience should take the internship credits; working tradespeople may get more from Construction Spanish.
A.A.S. Admissions
Course entry depends on reading, writing, and math placement, not a separate program application.
- Reading and writing proficiency gate most CONS and business courses.
- Math placement is required for MATH 1483.
- Graduation requires a 2.0 GPA and 15 credits earned in residence at OSU-OKC.
- Program-specific application, start terms, and deadlines: Not clearly stated
Tuition
OSU-Oklahoma City charges $137.05 per credit in resident tuition plus a $28.00 per-credit general enrollment fee, for $165.05 per credit. Non-residents pay the $137.05 resident charge plus a separate $241.05 non-resident charge, for $406.10 per credit with fees.
| Item | In-State | Out-of-State |
|---|---|---|
| Tuition per credit | $137.05 | $378.10 |
| General enrollment fee per credit | $28.00 | $28.00 |
| Total per credit | $165.05 | $406.10 |
| 62 credits | $10,233.10 | $25,178.20 |
| Per-term fees (5 terms × $37) | $185.00 | $185.00 |
| Estimated program total | $10,418.10 | $25,363.20 |
The $28 enrollment fee covers student activity, facilities, technology services, assessment, library, and IT infrastructure charges. Per-term fees are the $35 general university fee plus the records fee (capped at $2). See the official cost of attendance page.
Be aware that:
- Confirmed per-credit costs: $165.05 in-state and $406.10 out-of-state, including the enrollment fee.
- Online and hybrid sections add $10 per credit. Taking every course online adds up to $620.
- Laboratory material fees vary by course and are not listed for CONS courses.
- If the 60-credit total on the degree sheet is correct, the in-state estimate drops to about $10,088.
- OSU-OKC’s published annual figures ($5,027.50 in-state, $9,638 out-of-state for 24 credits) do not reconcile with its own rate table, which yields about $4,035 and $9,820.
- Books and supplies are budgeted at $1,440 per year and are not in the totals above.
For an Oklahoma resident, the all-in tuition and fee cost lands near $10,400, or about $10,600 for a student who takes most CONS courses online. Out-of-state students pay roughly 2.5 times the resident rate, which erases most of the program’s price advantage.
Why Choose This Construction Management Program?
Best suited for students who already work in Oklahoma City construction, or plan to, and want a two-year management credential they can earn around a job.
Working adults and subcontractor staff. Night and online sections, 8-week course blocks, and business courses like small business management fit project coordinators, foremen, and future subcontractor owners. Construction Spanish adds a practical skill for crew leadership.
Career changers. The optional internship is the only built-in field experience. Students new to construction should plan to use the elective block for internship credits.
Transfer verdict. Treat this A.A.S. as a workforce degree. Students aiming for Oklahoma State’s CET B.S. should ask OSU-OKC about the A.S. in Pre-Professional Studies route and its calculus and physics sequence before enrolling. Students who want a bachelor’s in construction science without calculus should compare the University of Oklahoma and confirm with OU which OSU-OKC credits transfer.
Accreditation and Credentials
OSU-Oklahoma City is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Institutional accreditation supports federal financial aid eligibility and the transfer of general education credit to other Oklahoma public institutions.
The Construction Management Technology A.A.S. carries no programmatic accreditation. OSU-OKC does not appear on ACCE’s associate degree list (March 2025 revision), which names 15 accredited associate programs nationwide. Lack of ACCE status is the norm at the two-year level.
OSU-OKC does not state that the degree leads to an industry certification or counts toward any licensing or AIC exam requirement. The OSHA course covers commercial and residential safety, but the source does not say whether students earn an OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card.
